Kuching - Sarawak Delta Aspiring UNESCO Global Geopark (SDGp) conducted its first mock assessment for three days from 28 to 30 April 2025 in anticipation of the official assessment by UNESCO.
This mock audit focused on the preliminary review of routes, site interpretation, geological heritage sites, biological and cultural sites, as well as community involvement within Sarawak Delta Geopark.
This mock assessment also served as a capacity-building exercise for the technical team and community members, helping to strengthen the delivery of the Sarawak Delta Geopark narrative in line with its geological, biological, and cultural heritage, as well as sustainable development goals.
