Awareness Programmes and Promotion is aimed at educating the local community, public, and students, as well as raising global awareness. 


3 April 2025 - Sarawak Delta Geopark (SDGp) is one step closer to UNESCO Global Geopark recognition. Representatives from DayakDaily and the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) recently visited SDGp to discuss working together to promote its campaign.


26 March 2025 - Courtesy visit to the Unit Komunikasi Awam Sarawak (UKAS) to promote the road to Unesco Sarawak Delta Geopark (SDGp) campaign.



17 March 2025 - Meeting with Geopark School: SK Taba Sait, Padawan.
 

7 March 2025 - Sarawak Delta Geopark Briefing With Academic Members From Universiti Teknologi Mara (Uitm), Kampus Samarahan.

22 January 2025 - The SDGp team convened an important meeting with Huttinger and Borneo Development Corporation to collaboratively develop the content for the Sarawak Delta Geopark Gallery at the Sarawak Science Centre.

13 December 2024 - Geopark to School program. A fruitful discussion with the Principal of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Paku, Bau on the proposed activities for geopark school in 2025.


10 December 2024 - A discussion between the Sarawak Delta Geopark team and the Aquamarine Project team representing Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency.


10 December 2024 - A strategic partnership meeting between the Geopark Management Unit of the Forest Department Sarawak and its Geopark Partners, the Lime Tree Hotel and Permai Rainforest Resort to discuss on proposed activities for 2025.



26 November 2024 - The Study Consultant for Mambong Masterplan under Greater Kuching Development Authority (GKCDA) paid a visit to Forest Department Sarawak to introduce and share some updates on the progress of the masterplan and how to incorporate the Sarawak Delta Geopark initiatives in the Plan.

15 November 2024 - The Geopark Management Unit (GMU) of the Forest Department Sarawak visited the University Sustainability Centre (USC) at UNIMAS as part of a strategic partnership with the university.



6 November 2024: Geopark School Discussion and Briefing on Borneo International School’s Role in the Geopark Initiative.


26 September 2024 - Discussion with Sarawak Forestry Corporation to explore the potential of Geopark Partner collaboration with National Parks within the Sarawak Delta Geopark area.



12 September 2024 - The Sarawak Delta Aspiring UNESCO Global Geopark made a good impression on the international stage at the 8th Asia Pacific Geoparks Network (APGN) Symposium.



28 August 2024 - Working Visit by the Board of Trustees of Sabah Parks to the Forest Department Sarawak and Sarawak Delta Geopark



 23 August 2024 - Geopark Management Unit working visit to The Lime Tree Hotel to discuss initiatives as a cooperation partner (Geopark Partner) for the Sarawak Delta Aspiring UNESCO Global Geopark.

26 June 2024 - Visit by the Johor State Forestry Department to the Sarawak Delta Geopark Gallery. The delegation, consisting of 23 members, was led by YBhg Dato Haji Salim bin Aman, Director of Johor State Forestry Department.



19 & 20 May 2024 - Benchmarking Visit to Batur UNESCO Global Geopark (UGGp) and Tourist Sites in Bali, Indonesia.

30 March 2023 - Sarawak Delta Geopark Tourism Package Development Coordination Meeting.



21 March 2023 - Day One of the Sarawak Delta Geopark Expedition Series in Bau/Padawan, themed Unearth the Natural, Cultural and Heritage Treasures.



20 March 2023 - The Opening Ceremony of the Sarawak Delta Geopark Expedition Series in Bau/Padawan, themed Unearth the Natural, Cultural and Heritage Treasures, was officiated by Datuk Haji Len Talif Salleh, Deputy Minister for Ministry of Natural Resources and Urban Development of Sarawak, who also serves as the Chairman of the Sarawak Delta Geopark Steering Committee. The ceremony was held at Dewan Suarah Bau.



28 February 2023 - The meeting discussed the draft Terms of Reference (TOR) for the preparation of the Dossier for the Aspiring Sarawak Delta UNESCO Global Geopark, intended as a reference for the appointed consultants. Sarawak is targeting the nomination of Sarawak Delta Geopark to UNESCO Global Geoparks by 2024.



29 October 2022 - The atmosphere around the Launch Ceremony of the Sarawak International Dragon Boat Regatta-Kuching Waterfront Festival. The Sarawak Delta Geopark is unique, located on the western part of the Borneo island, which is rich in biodiversity and diverse ethnic groups.



26 October 2022 - Awareness Program on Sarawak Delta Geopark Series 5/2022 organized by the Public Education & Community Engagement Committee of SDGp, Kuching Division Resident’s Office.



21 till 23 October 2022 - A total of 21 Focal Officers from various agencies under the governance of SDGp attended The 5th Regional Course on UNESCO Global Geopark 2022 held at Bayview Hotel, Langkawi, Malaysia.



31 October 2022 - Meeting on the Installation of the Sarawak Delta Geopark Permanent Gallery, held at the Ramin Meeting Room, 11th Floor, Right Wing, Baitul Makmur II Building.
