SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT
Sarawak is focusing on a sustainable future by balancing development with environmental preservation. Initiatives include the Kuching Smart City Master Plan and Malaysia’s first climate change law, the Environment (Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emission) Ordinance, 2023. It aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by regulating the activities of the energy and oil and gas industries.
